Brightroom Studio

The Situation

Brightroom Studio opened to give photographers a beautiful space to shoot in. What they didn't want was a second job coordinating payment, sharing door codes, and hoping the timing lined up with the photographers using the space.

They had their own businesses to run and families to get home to. The studio needed to work without them.

What We Built

We built them a fresh new website and an automated system that handles everything from the moment a photographer books the space to the moment they walk in the door. This system runs automatically in the background, and removes the need for manual coordination between the studio owner and customer.

When a customer books and pays online, they receive a unique door code that works only during their reserved time. No manual texts from the owner. No key handoffs. When the booking ends, the code stops working to ensure the safety and privacy of the space.

The Tools We Used

For the automated system, we used a few tools. Acuity Scheduling handles the booking, while Stripe is used as the payment processor. Zapier connects everything behind the scenes. We integrated Seam to communicate with the Schlage smart lock on the front door. For the website, we built it on Webflow — clean, fast, and designed to look as good as the space itself.

Every tool was chosen because it works natively with the others.

The Result

Brightroom now operates as a self-booking photo studio. Photographers find the site online, pick a time, pay, and get access, all without the owner needing to be involved. What initially required back-and-forth coordination between the studio owner and the customer now happens in seconds.

The studio is open for business even when the owner isn't thinking about it.‍
